Samuel C. Sweet, PhD
Clinical Child Psychologist
Welcome!
I'm Dr. Sam Sweet, a child and adolescent psychologist supporting young people and their families with care that is collaborative, respectful, and rooted in a neurodiversity-affirming lens, helping them feel empowered throughout their journey.
My goal is to help children and teens feel understood and to give families tools that foster connection rather than conflict.
What I Offer:
-
Individual therapy for children, teens, and young adults
-
Parent support and coaching
-
Guidance for navigating school systems, IEPs, and accommodations
-
Neurodiversity-affirming approaches to ADHD, autism, anxiety, and emotional regulation
-
Evidence-informed care delivered with warmth, clarity, and respect
My Approach:
Children and teens thrive when they feel safe, respected and believed. I help them make sense of their experiences, build emotional tools, and identify strengths, not deficits.

Families are never blamed or judged, instead we work as a team to build strategies that are realistic, compassionate, and individualized.

My professional values center around:
-
Honoring each young person’s identity
-
Respecting neurodiversity and reducing stigma
-
Supporting parents without shame
-
Making therapy practical and accessible
-
Fostering long-term emotional wellbeing
I believe that every child deserves to feel capable, understood, and connected.
